If you are anything like me, you love starting new things. But perhaps– also like me– you are not as good at finishing them. (Blood Rain is something I’ve worked on, off and on, since 2005. Mainly off. *sob*).

If you are having problems finishing something, here are some small writing projects that you can start and finish in one day:

The Me-in-the-Future List

Set a timer for ten minutes. Without judgement or stopping, write down everything you can think of re: what you want to be, have, do, or experience in the future. Extra bonus sparkle fairy kisses points if you can timeline it afterwards.

Favourite Meal

Write a detailed description of your favourite meal in childhood. Include a recipe if you can. Spend no more than thirty minutes on this.

Gratitude List

Set a timer for ten minutes. Without judgement or stopping, write down everything you can think of re: what you can be grateful for in this life.

Every single time you finish something, no matter how small, your focus and confidence will grow. You will get better at finishing things. Plus finishing things feels awesome. That is why I blog.
