Youth Writers’ contest

Entry deadline for March 1

Entries for 1st Annual Valerie B.-Taylor (VBT) Writing Contest for emerging youth writers are beginning to arrive in the Fed’s inbox! Be sure to get yours in too – or if you’re young at heart, but not by birth-date, be sure to encourage any young writers you know to submit (to be eligible, writers have to be 30 or younger on March 1 2015).

The Youth Writers Contest is a joint offering by the Federation of BC Writers and the New West Writers group. The winning entry will be published in an upcoming issue of WordWorks Magazine, and its author awarded a certificate of recognition plus $100. The presentation will take place at the FedBC Young Writer’s Conference in Surrey on Saturday March 7 2015 (see related item above or Go to the Youth Writers Contest page).
